An altered play on Roald Dahl’s ‘Cinderella’, the short rhyme is used to connect the story, which in Dahl’s version, sees Cinderella instead opt for a normal life, with a normal, lower class man, to Kanye’s newfound desire to get as far away from the public eye as possible, realising that once you’ve achieved mainstream celebrity status, even your smallest wrongdoing will be blown up. Opening track ‘Dark Fantasy’ begins with the above poem, read by Nicki Minaj.
